Playing Video Games Can Help You Lose Weight

Want an excuse to play more video games? Well… science is giving you plenty of excuses too. According to the Daily Mail, you can lose weight from playing video games!

A study looked at folks that played video games for an hour and a person doing sit-ups. They found the guy playing video games burned 210 calories while the women playing burned 236. It took the group doing sit-ups around 500 situps to come close to burning those over 200 calories.

How did they track this? Through smartwatches like Fitbits. They track heart rate which then can be converted into calories burned.

I’m obsessed with working out… which means I’m not planning on switching my workouts out anytime soon, but if you would rather play video games, you do you boo!
